It all started a very long time ago. Ray (Tex) Texter, was just a boy when he found his love for motorcycling. He started Lancaster Harley-Davidson back in 1951. Alongside his wife, Betty, they built it from the ground up. Through hard times during the war, they stuck together.

They had their son Randy, in 1962. Randy found a love in motorcycle racing. He started racing at age 9 and worked his way through the ranks in both the AMA Pro Dirttrack and AMA Pro Road Racing scenes. Not always having the best equipment didn't stop Randy from accomplishing multiple professional road racing championships and many successful finishes in the dirttrack scene. Randy would work all day at the Harley shop, then work all night on race bikes, and leave early in the morning in his van to head to a race.

Randy's first son Cory was born in 1987 and shortly after his daughter Shayna was born in 1991. It wasn't only a couple weeks after they were born that they were traveling across the country watching dad compete against some of the best in the world. It was hard for Cory and Shayna to start racing as small children, with their father's busy professional life. They raced a couple indoors every year and would always go out in the background yard, short track racing. They would pretend to be their hero's such as Scott Parker, Ricky Graham and even their father, Randy.

When Randy retired from racing after having some very scary crashes, it opened the doors for the kids to get into racing full-time. Randy bought Cory a CRF450 in 2003. They wanted to go to a couple races a year and race for fun. Sure enough, it was in his blood and they began racing every weekend competing against some of the best in the country. Shayna, watched her brother and decided she wanted to give it a try. Her first motorcycle was a TTR-125, and the rest is history.

Today, you will find the Texter's at many racetracks across the country. Every weekend of the year is spent either at the race track or working on motorcycles. Ray (Tex) Texter, still helps tune on the motorcycles and Betty comes and watches her grandchildren race. Randy is now the head crew chief and team manager for the team. Every once in a while at the practice tracks they have located a mile from their house, he still shows his children a thing or two about old school dirttrack racing. 

As for Cory and Shayna, their life is all about two wheels. Cory, when he is not racing is spending time at the Harley shop learning the business so when he retires from racing he can continue the tradition. Shayna, is just finishing up school, through home-schooling. She also hopes to be a part of the Harley dealership when her career as a motorcycle racer is over. The family eats, drinks, and breathes motorcycle racing. Thanks for being part of the ride!
